Our Mission
Jesus gave the church it’s mission just before ascending into heaven:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
We take these words, which have become known as the Great Commission, very seriously. We’ve embraced them and made them our mission - both personally and as a church. We are a church full of individuals who seek to fulfill the Great Commission in our families, neighborhoods, county, and world.
We feel that God has given us four areas of emphasis to help focus our efforts in the mission: Relationship, Discipleship, Generosity and Multiplication.

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission through meaningful and authentic relationship with Jesus, one another, and the people around us who need salvation through faith in Christ.

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission through intentional discipleship. As each of us utilize the gifts God has given us, we encourage, teach and admonish one another as we pursue Christ together.

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission through open-handed generosity. We refuse to look away from needs around us, and contribute to meeting the urgent needs and the systemic problems in our community and world. “If it is ours, then it is ours to give.”

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission through multiplication of churches and believers. This reflects personal responsibility for evangelism, as well as a church-wide value on church planting.
