Happy New Year! What a perfect time to reflect and look forward.
In order to give our volunteers a well-deserved break, we’re not gathering at the Vineyard today. But we hope this message from Aaron will help you take a few minutes to worship at home.
Aaron mentions the following scriptures: Deuteronomy 15:1-2, Deuteronomy 15:9, Luke 4:18-19, and Colossians 2:13.

Group Discussion Questions:

In what ways are you a “padded pew” Christian?
Read John 14:1-9….discuss. Do you think Jesus would ask you the question He asked Philip?
What are some “padded pew” characteristics in many churches today?
One of the points was that padded pew Christians repent to escape hell, not to avoid displeasing God. Is that you?
Padded pew Christians hear …

The job you didn’t take. The question you never asked. The person you didn’t help. Fear’s power isn’t what it does to us, but what it keeps us from doing. We need something to reverse the paralysis. LOVE BANISHES FEAR!
