A while back, we killed the church bulletin in an effort to save time, money and trees. We’re glad we did it, and we love our weekly email newsletter, facebook page, and video announcements. The challenge, however, is remembering all the details without getting them in writing. So in addition to our current communications, we’re offering on-demand text messages with essential info - and you get only the stuff you’re interested in when you ask for it.

The devastation in Haiti is immense.  As a church, we are praying about how God can use us to show compassion and mercy.  Information is sparse and unreliable.  Transportation systems are jammed.
The Vineyard USA’s Mercy Response ministry is working on setting up a “base camp” in Haiti so that as a movement we can respond quickly and responsibly.  There is an existing partnership between Vineyard USA and Convoy of Hope, which has given “boots on the ground” so that we can act wisely.

Intro
A father has two sons.  The younger asks for his inheritance, skips town and squanders it all.  He returns home and, to his surprise, is received with great joy. The older brother feels alienated, overlooked.
