“Padded Pew” Christians tend to have a false sense of security in a god they made up to look like themselves. The American Church today must resist the “broad road that leads to destruction.”

1. In what ways are you a “padded pew” Christian?
2. Read John 14:1-9….discuss. Do you think Jesus would ask you the question He asked Philip?
3. What are some “padded pew” characteristics in many churches today?
4. One of the points was that padded pew Christians repent to escape hell, not to avoid displeasing God. Is that you?
5. Padded pew Christians hear of other Christians doing extreme things for Jesus, but they are usually too scared/lazy to do the same. Is that you?
6. Where does your security lie?
