Voyagers
Voyagers
Ages: 5yrs-2nd Grade
Location: Room 103
We created an action-packed class for early elementary kids that’s always moving and constantly learning. Our teachers use many different methods to speak to all learning styles. We’ll learn the gospel and Bible truths through lessons, stories, skits, crafts, and games. We also place a huge emphasis on worshiping God with our words, prayers, songs, hearts, and lives. Each week your child will participate in kids worship in room 103 led by the Pastor of the Day. They will learn what it means to worship and and how to engage in worship.
The last Sunday of every month our Voyagers and Explorers will join their parents in the sanctuary for the song and communion portion of the worship service. Please check them into class before service. When the music begins, the teachers will bring your child to you so they can worship with you in the service. Once the songs are over, the kids will be dismissed to go back to their class. Please be mindful of teaching your child about the importance and significance of communion. They not be ready to participate yet, but they will learn a lot from watching others.
Explorers
Explorers
Ages: 3rd-5th Grade
Location: Room 102
Our older elementary students will love learning all about the Bible in this class. They will be encouraged and challenged as this class is designed to teach Biblical literacy, truth, and application. We want to engage their hearts and their minds. We encourage our students to keep journals and to bring their Bibles and journals to class with them so they can interact with the Word of God at home and throughout each class. Each week your child will participate in kids worship in room 103 led by the Pastor of the Day. Info for Parents
Registration
Parents or guardians need to visit the information desk in the cafe to complete a one-time registration for each child before they attend class for the first time. You will receive a family ID number that you’ll use each time you attend the Vineyard, along with everything you’ll need for classroom check-in.
Check-In & Check-Out
Children are welcomed into the classrooms 15 minutes prior to services and must be checked in by a parent or guardian. Using invisible ink, a teacher will write your family Id number on the wrists of both you and your child. Nursery-age children will receive a name tag instead of invisible ink.
As soon as you’re finished worshiping, please go back to the classroom so we can verify that the numbers on your wrists match and check your child out of class.

Paging You
If you are needed at any time during the service, we will post your family ID number in the corner of the screen in the sanctuary. Please watch for numbers during the service and go to your child’s classroom promptly if your number is posted.
Diapers and Diaper Bags
Please make sure your bags have Vineyard Bag Tags marked with your family ID number so we can match bags to children in the classrooms. Please stock your bag with diapers, wipes, and burp cloths that we can use for your little ones, to make sure that we are using the products that your baby’s skin is used to.
Feedings and Snacks
In the Nursery, please indicate on the check-in sheet when you expect your baby to eat and include any special instructions we’ll need to know. Toddlers may bring a labeled sippy cup with water or juice, but milk is not permitted in the class due to allergies. We serve our kids gluten-free rice chex, apple juice, and occasionally give smarties candy as rewards.
Good Health and Safety
We ask that parents do not enter the classroom for security reasons, but that you remain at the door until your child is dismissed to you. Children who show signs or symptoms of fever or any other contagious disease are not accepted into our classrooms. We have a first aid kit in all of our rooms and many of our volunteers are CPR certified.
