We’re mixing things up for this holiday season, so please make a note and plan accordingly!
No services held on Sunday, January 1
It has been our pattern to cancel services on the Sunday following Christmas day. It is important to give our volunteers a much-needed and well-deserved break. Instead of gathering at church, we will provide resources online to help you worship at home. (This link will work on New Year’s Day!)
Things will return to what we call normal beginning Sunday, January 8th.
No services Christmas Day
This was a tough call to make…but it seems to us that you’ll have a much better chance of bringing friends and family to church with you on Christmas Eve. If someone usually doesn’t attend church, we think they’ll be more likely to come if it doesn’t require them changing valued traditions. Additionally, this seems like the best way for us to worship together as a church (on Christmas Eve) and in our homes with our loved ones (on Christmas Day).
Three Christmas Eve services
If you generally attend the first service on a typical Sunday morning, then please attend the first service on Christmas Eve. The same with the second and third services. We understand that your schedule may not permit that, and of course, that’s fine! However, if most of us can do that, it will ensure that no single service will be overcrowded. This is one of the best opportunities of the year to invite your friends and family, and we want to make sure that everyone has a seat!
